What are you working on at Keysight?
I’m working on an IT project using AWS.
How does your role at Keysight complement your major and vice versa?
I had a lot of foundational knowledge code-wise from my classes, and group-based projects helped me prepare to work on a team. I've learned a lot of technical skills during my internship that I wouldn't have learned in classes.
What do you like best about working with your team?
I enjoy spending time figuring out problems with my teammates. They are laid back but hardworking and generally nice to work with.
Did you participate in any virtual Keysight social events/activities? If so, which has been your favorite and why?
I enjoyed the virtual scavenger hunt hosted by the University Recruiting team. It was great getting to know some of my fellow interns from different departments. I also enjoyed the December trivia night hosted by Next-Gen. It was fun to interact with my coworkers outside of a work setting.
What’s something you’ve learned while at Keysight?
I've learned how to work on an agile scrum development team, which has made me more open-minded to new ideas and helped me build confidence in my skills with the support of my team.
If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Don't be afraid to try something new. Ask questions and voice your ideas. You can provide a new and fresh perspective to your projects which is valuable to existing and growing teams.
How would you compare working at Keysight to working on your degree?
I have enjoyed working at Keysight more than working on my degree. I feel like the work I have contributed to has real value. I don't feel the pressure of grades, and I know I have the full support of my team.
Describe some of your favorite moments at Keysight.
Some of my favorite moments happen during team bonding time. Whether it's taking a break to just talk with my team or spend time playing games after a productive workday, it's always a good time and creates memories I will cherish.
What will you take from your experience with Keysight into your future endeavors?
My most important takeaway would be to continue looking for ways I can self-improve and grow during my future career.
What has surprised you most about interning at Keysight?
Even working fully remote, I find myself well connected to my team. I have a great time working with them and learning new skills.
